Meet The Team

My career began in 1983, when I joined my father’s building firm, constructing large architecturally designed residential properties in Berkshire.
 

Moving forward, many years within the shop fitting industry throughout the UK, led me to become a Site Manager for Mansell Construction on both commercial and residential projects.

Because of my years of carpentry and building experience and my depth of knowledge within many aspects of construction, this allowed me to progress to become a qualified Project Manager at Balfour Beaty.

 

My main responsibility was to close out projects in a
timely and satisfactory manner for the clients to sign off. The culmination of my experience led to the creation of ‘Harmony Building’ with my good friend and business partner Guy.

I started in the construction industry in 1988 initially sourcing and supplying specialist Construction Workers to the industry. 
 

Like a lot of first-time buyers, I bought a property requiring some improvements and updating and had no choice but to get stuck into the works myself.

 

This highlighted to me the issues a lot of properties suffer from “a lack of love” and in the days before the internet; trial and error and a lot of advice from seasoned tradespeople carried me through.

I’ve always had a passion for older properties, their natural beauty and the architecture. But knowing the issues that can come with older properties, I educated myself about how to preserve, repair and ultimately update these properties to perform in the modern world. This led me to investigate & gain practical advice on both New Build residential & retrospective installation to older buildings.​
